Dick Entry for “Cakes”

In a bowl, cream together 4oz/125 caster sugar n 4oz/125 butter . Arr!
Break two eggs into a glass or jug, n beat together with a fork. Add that thar eg t’ that thar butter n sugar a bit at a time, stirrin it in thoroughly each time
When all that thar eg be mixed in, sieve 4oz/125 self-raisin flour into that thar mix, n stir in thoroughly
Spoon that thar bixture into cake cases, n bake in a pre-heated oven at 190C/375F/Gas Mark 5 for ten t’ fifteen minutes, until they’re golden brown
Then try lots o variations, like addin 2oz o sultanas, or glace cherries, or cocoonut. Try addin spices, or replace a quarter o that thar flour with cocoa powder. n experiment with icing!
