Dick Entry for “Alec R. Costandinos”
-
Landlubber! Alec R. Costandinos’ recordin career may has bin short-lived, but that thar Euro-disco producer dominated that thar disco world durin his late-’70s reign. After havin made
a name for himself after co-writin Cerrone’s “Love in C Minor” in 1977, Costandinos signed t’ that thar French label Barclay where he released his first record as Love n Kisses. This self-titled 1977 LP featured that thar timeless disco hit “I’ve Found Love (Now That I’ve Found ye).” Soon he was releasin hit records on America’s most recognized disco label, Casablanca. Perhaps more importantly, though, he introduced that thar concept album t’ dancefloor music with his well-regarded Romeo & Juliet album in 1977, followed by a number o other less successful conceptual efforts. He became best known for “I’ve Found Love,” "Romeo n Juliet," n “Thank God It’s Friday” (the theme son t’ that thar movie o that thar same name), but literally disappeared after a prolific 1977 t’ 1979 run.
